🗳️ County Sees 15K Early Voters Day One
St. Louis County launched its first day of no-excuse early voting on Tuesday. Election officials reported 15,273 residents cast ballots at 14 polling locations, with the St. Ann election board site recording the highest turnout. Mail-in and traditional absentee voting have already brought in an additional 23,493 ballots ahead of the November 5th general election.
🏒 Major Sports Facility Breaks Ground
Construction began on Wednesday on Chesterfield's newest sports development, the CarShield Sportsplex. The $60 million facility will span 325,000 square feet and include indoor ice rinks, soccer fields, a restaurant, and training facilities. Set to open in January 2026, the complex will serve over 500 local youth athletes across 45 teams.
👨⚖️ Meet Your Local Judges in Fenton
Seventeen St. Louis County judges will meet with local voters next Tuesday evening. The judicial forum, held at Meramec Valley Library in Fenton, will give residents a chance to ask questions about the court system and learn about the judges on November's retention ballot. The Judicial Performance Review Committee has recommended keeping all participating judges.
🚧 I-270 Ramps Close Tonight
MoDOT is continuing its bridge replacement project with overnight work on I-270 South. Tonight’s closure will affects ramps to I-64 from 10pm until 5am Friday morning. The good news: three southbound lanes will remain open through the construction zone until late 2025.

🥪 Schnucks Updates Deli Selection
Schnucks is making changes to its deli department this fall. The grocery chain announced a partnership with Dietz & Watson to provide new premium meats and artisan cheeses at all store locations. The transition will begin in November, with stores offering special pricing and product sampling as new items arrive.
🚛 New Restaurant Coming to Ellisville
A new dining option is coming to Ellisville as local food truck operator Truck Norris prepares to open their first permanent location. The new restaurant, called Truck Norris Twisted Eats, will be located at 15856 Clayton Road. The fast-casual spot will feature their award-winning comfort food menu alongside a full-service bar.

🏥 St. Luke's Named Top Heart Hospital
St. Luke's Hospital has earned recognition as one of America's top 50 cardiac surgery centers. The West County hospital received four Specialty Excellence Awards from Healthgrades, placing it among the top 10% nationally for cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and surgical care.

Your favorite waffle-cut potatoes are calling, and they're completely free! Local Chick-fil-A restaurants across West County are offering complimentary large Waffle Potato Fries through their mobile app today. Parkway's Bus #11 driver, known as Mr. Bill, was recently featured on KSDK's 'Making a Difference' segment. He creates a supportive environment for students during their morning commute, treating his bus as an extension of the classroom and helping students start their day on a positive note.
🎗️ Rockwood Schools Mark Red Ribbon Week
Rockwood schools are participated in National Red Ribbon Week through October 31st next week. The annual drug prevention program features this year's theme "Life is a Movie: Film Drug Free." Local schools including Kehrs Mill Elementary, Bowles Elementary, and Rockwood South Middle have organized special activities ranging from poster contests to educational assemblies.

🔐 Overnight Break-ins Hit Claymont Area
The Ballwin Police Department received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins that occurred Wednesday night in the Claymont subdivision. Officers documented nearly two dozen incidents where vehicles were broken into or showed signs of attempted entry. Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area.

🌊 Chesterfield Flood Maps Get Update
FEMA has released new flood insurance maps for Chesterfield property owners to review. The federal agency's preliminary flood insurance rate maps represent the first comprehensive update in six years. 💊 Drop Off Old Meds This Saturday
The Creve Coeur Police Department is hosting a medication disposal event this Saturday (tomorrow) at the Government Center. From 10am to 2pm, residents can safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medications. The service is free, though liquids, needles, and illicit drugs won't be accepted.

🗳️ Twin Oaks Posts Election Day Details
Twin Oaks has announced its City Hall will serve as a polling location for the November 5th general election. Operating hours will be 6am to 7pm on election day only. The city reminds residents they can vote at any St. Louis County polling place, with early voting ongoing at the Grand Glaize Library.
Wildwood
🏘️ Wildwood Developer Seeks More Lots
A Wildwood development proposal is headed back to the City Council for review. F&F Custom Homes is requesting to build 34 homes at The Pointe at Brightleaf, after the council previously reduced the count to 30. The builder has added new landscaping and buffering plans to address environmental concerns on the 8.3-acre site.
