Manchester resident Ed Skaggs has been appointed as the city's new Police Chief after 35 years of service with the department. Approved by the Board of Aldermen, Skaggs brings experience in white-collar crime investigation and a focus on community safety. Their NICU Milk Room, which manages nutrition for premature and critically ill babies, is celebrating its fifth anniversary. Starting with one dedicated staff member, the facility has grown to eleven technicians who process thousands of ounces of human milk daily.

The recognition program celebrates district support staff including bus drivers, nurses, secretaries, custodians, computer support personnel, and classroom assistants who serve students and staff throughout the year.

Rockwood has continued its tradition of financial excellence. The district recently earned its 25th consecutive Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International, maintaining its position as a state leader in fiscal responsibility.

The Town & Country Police Department announced the hiring of their newest officer this week. Officer Yousif Alwatari has joined the force after previously working in loss prevention. His experience with TCPD officers during his security career inspired him to pursue law enforcement.

The city of Wildwood has recognized five local businesses reaching significant anniversaries this month. Equine Assisted Therapy is celebrating 20 years of community service, while Heels boutique has reached 16 years. Plus, Milk and Honey, Puppingham Palace, and Mike Sedlak's American Family Insurance office each are celebrating 10 years of serving local residents.
