🌊 Chesterfield's Aquatic Center Faces Sink or Swim
The Chesterfield City Council recently approved a multi-stage plan to replace the aging Family Aquatic Center on Lydia Hill Drive. The 27-year-old facility has been the subject of much discussion in recent years, with the city recognizing the need for a major financial decision. The replacement strategy includes preliminary design, financing, and construction phases, with a new facility not expected to open before May 2027.
🌳 Wildwood Greenlights New Brightleaf Phase
The Villages at Brightleaf in Wildwood is set to welcome a new addition, as the City Council has given the go-ahead for The Pointe at Brightleaf, a single-family neighborhood by Fischer & Frichtel Custom Homes. The approved plan includes up to 30 homes on an 8.3-acre tract, along with attractive amenities such as a lake, trails, and landscaping. The developer is seeking to mirror the success of Village E, a maintenance-free style of residence in the original development.
🚨 STL County Police Warn of Jury Duty Scam Calls
St. Louis County Police are warning residents about an uptick in scam calls from individuals impersonating sheriff's office staff. The fraudsters claim the victim missed jury duty and has an outstanding arrest warrant, demanding thousands of dollars to clear the false charges. Police stress that this is not how the sheriff's office operates and recommend blocking the scammers' numbers.
🏫 Local Counselor Makes National Impact
Matthew Berry, Rockwood SD's counseling coordinator, has been elected to the American School Counselor Association's Board of Directors. Berry, a former Missouri School Counselor of the Year and national finalist, will serve a three-year term starting October 1. The ASCA promotes student success through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration among its 43,000 members.

During working hours (7am to 3pm), rear parking lot access may be limited to one lane.
