🗳️ Prop B Returns to April Ballot

An appeals judge has reversed a lower court's decision, ordering Proposition B back onto the April 8 ballot in St. Louis County. The measure would allow County Council members to remove department heads with five votes. County Executive Sam Page expressed concerns about the ballot language, while Councilman Mark Harder supported keeping the measure.

🐱 New Cat Boarding Planned for Wildwood

A specialized boarding facility exclusively for cats is being proposed in Wildwood. The planned Cattails Lodge at 16497 Clayton Road would offer nine luxury suites with window views and bird feeders, plus additional lodging space to accommodate up to 42 cats total. Staff would provide care during business hours, with visits by appointment only.

📚 Library Launches Reading Program

The St. Louis County Library has developed a new approach to support young readers. Starting this month, families can access free literacy kits and workshops through the "Gateway to Reading" program. The system-wide initiative will provide phonics-based learning resources at all 20 branch locations.

Local Hardee's restaurants are hosting their 25th annual fundraiser for Heat-Up St. Louis this Friday. 🏢 Urban Chestnut Changes Ownership

Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. has been sold following bankruptcy proceedings. The St. Louis craft brewery's sale for $2.55 million received court approval on Wednesday. The brewery, which filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September with $7.4 million in debt, will maintain its two St. Louis locations.

👮 Town & Country Adds New Officer

Town & Country Police Department expanded its force this morning with the addition of Officer Keith Paulitsch. During a formal ceremony, City Administrator Shelton administered the oath of office while Chief Wilkey presented Paulitsch's badge. The new officer brings more than 20 years of law enforcement experience to the community.

Ellisville

🎀 New Ellisville City Hall Ready for Its Close-Up

Ellisville's new Government Center is opening its doors to the public this March. Residents are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony on March 19, with building tours available starting at 5pm. The official ceremony will begin at 5:30pm, followed by additional tours and light refreshments.

🧪 Kids' Spring Break Getting Mad Science Twist

Ellisville Parks and Recreation is offering a week-long science program for elementary students this spring break. The Mad Science Camp, scheduled for March 17-21, will teach K-5 students about simple machines, chemistry experiments, and engineering basics. Daily sessions will run from 9am to 3pm at Bluebird Park, with registration set at $250.
