🏗️ Chesterfield Mall Demolition Nears Completion

The demolition of Chesterfield Mall is almost complete, with the site being cleared for a new development. The Staenberg Group plans to transform the 90-acre site into "Downtown Chesterfield" with residential, commercial, and retail spaces plus 3.5 acres of green space. While most structures are gone, Macy's and Dillard's buildings will remain part of the project scheduled for infrastructure completion by fall 2026.

💧 Flood Preparations Begin in Eureka

Local officials are warning about potential flooding. The Eureka Fire Protection District reports both the Big River and Meramec River could reach major flood stage in coming days. Deputy Chief Stamberger this week emphasized the dangers of water-covered roads, while MSD is recommending clearing debris from storm sewers and directing downspouts away from homes.

🚶 Wildwood Trails Shine on Walking Day

Wildwood recognized National Walking Day this week by highlighting its extensive trail network. With over 40 miles of paths throughout the community, residents have many options to enjoy the spring weather.

🟣 Purple Fields Appear Across Missouri

Spring has brought a purple transformation to fields across Missouri. The color comes from Henbit, scientifically known as Lamium amplexicaule, which grows close to the ground in early spring. Farmers appreciate this weed for its soil protection qualities, though homeowners may not welcome it in their gardens.

🚗 Creve Coeur Cannabis Drive-Thru Approved

The Creve Coeur City Council has approved a bill allowing Key Cannabis Dispensary to operate a drive-through service at their North Lindbergh Boulevard location. The facility, which began operations in 2021 and changed ownership last year, received approval following a 4-2 vote from the Planning & Zoning Commission. The drive-through will use an existing structure built by a former tenant in 2004.

🛩️ Boeing Donates $100K for Tornado Relief

Boeing has donated $100,000 to the Salvation Army for tornado recovery efforts. The March 14-15 storms damaged approximately 3,000 homes throughout our area. The funds will enable the Salvation Army to distribute gift cards and essential items to hundreds of affected families in the coming weeks as they begin to rebuild their lives.

🏟️ Cardinals Hit Attendance Low Point

Attendance hit a historic low at Busch Stadium Monday night. The Cardinals' 5-4 loss to the Angels had only 21,206 paid attendees, marking it the smallest non-COVID crowd in the stadium's history. The previous low attendance record was set last August with 26,553 fans.

🏛️ T&C Heroes Tribute Progresses

The Town & Country Board of Aldermen has unanimously approved a resolution for their Military and First Responders Tribute. The March 24 vote directed the city administrator to enter into an agreement with Musick Construction. Championed by Alderman Sue Allen, the project has received support from local citizens and businesses, with completion targeted for Veterans Day 2025.
