The City of Manchester has placed Police Chief Scott Will on paid administrative leave amidst an independent investigation. Additionally, Deputy Chief Capt. Craig Smith tendered his resignation on Tuesday. Lt. Ed Skaggs, a seasoned officer with more than four decades of law enforcement experience, has been appointed as acting chief while the investigation unfolds.

💰 Auditor's Unauthorized Pay Hikes Spark Outcry

In a surprising turn of events, St. Louis County Auditor Toni Jackson is facing allegations of receiving unauthorized raises from two county council chairs. Attorneys for the county are now seeking repayment of $10,015 from Jackson, who was appointed to the position in November 2021 at a salary of $120,000. The raises, which occurred in June 2022 and June 2023, were allegedly granted without the full council's approval.

Heavy rains on July 9 led to a harrowing experience for a young driver in Wildwood. The 19-year-old woman's car skidded off the road near Radcliff Place Drive and Hwy. 109, ending up stranded in a flooded drainage ditch. 🚗 Expect Delays This Weekend: I-270 Lane Restrictions Planned

Over the next two weekends (July 12-15 and July 19-22), MoDOT crews will be hard at work on southbound I-270 between Ladue Road and I-64, closing up to three lanes for essential maintenance.
