🖥️ StL County PD Launches Digital Reporting
Reporting certain crimes in St. Louis County has become more convenient. The County Police Department now offers an Online Citizens Reporting Portal for non-emergency incidents. Residents can use this digital tool to report issues like stolen license plates or property damage, while still having the option to call 911 for urgent situations.

🚦 Speed Limit Reduced on Old State Road
Old State Road in Wildwood is undergoing safety enhancements. The speed limit has been lowered on a portion of the road, and signs are already in place. In addition, the Wildwood City Council and St. Louis County are collaborating on further improvements, including skid-resistant pavement to be installed next year.
🚜 Queeny Park Hayrides Filling Up Fast
Fall activities are in full swing at Queeny Park, with hayrides returning as a seasonal favorite. The 45-minute rides offer a relaxing journey through the park, followed by time around a warm campfire. With a maximum capacity of 20 people per wagon, interested participants should book soon to secure their spot on this autumn adventure. Call (314) 615-8472 to make a reservation.
🧊 Last Week's Chill at West County Center
A frosty situation unfolded at West County Center early last Wednesday. A nitrogen tank, typically the unsung hero of gourmet ice cream production, decided to make some noise. Thanks to a sharp-eared security guard and swift response from Des Peres firefighters, the leak was contained without incident.

🚒 Metro West Hosting Family Safety Day
The Metro West Fire Protection District is inviting families to their Safety Day this coming Sunday (September 29th). The event at Station 3 will feature emergency vehicles on display, live demonstrations, and station tours. Children can participate in the Healthy Heroes Academy, while adults can learn about home safety from various informational booths.
🔧 Local Team Places 8th at National Gas Rodeo
Ameren Missouri recently sent three teams to compete in the National Gas Rodeo. The team achieved an 8th place finish in the four-man competition. This event showcases the skills of natural gas journeymen and apprentices from across the country, highlighting their expertise in the field.

🚀 Selvidge Student Snags National Accolade
Ayush Rausaria, an eighth-grader at Selvidge Middle School, has won first place in a national aerospace essay contest. His piece on satellite navigation earned him a cash prize, membership to an aerospace organization, and publication in an industry magazine. Rausaria's interest in space, which began in preschool, continues to grow.
📝 Rockwood Plans for 2025-2030
Rockwood has initiated its strategic planning process. The newly formed Strategic Plan Steering Committee, consisting of 29 members from diverse backgrounds, held its first meeting. Over the next year, they’ll work on developing a comprehensive plan to guide the district from 2025 to 2030.

🌳 Playground Progress at Vlasis Park
Construction of the new Vlasis Park playground in Ballwin is making steady progress. The Ballwin Police Department recently shared drone footage of the site, giving a glimpse of the development. The playground is scheduled to open by the end of November, with city officials planning a grand opening celebration sometime around then.

Ameren has notified Town and Country residents about upcoming tree trimming operations. The work will focus on trees near power lines in Ameren's right-of-way.
