🌊 Flash Floods Submerge Cars in Manchester
A shocking encounter with flash flooding near Manchester Road and Old Sulphur Springs Road was captured on video yesterday. The footage reveals the alarming speed at which floodwaters can rise, as two vehicles were swiftly overtaken by the deluge.
🏗️ Chesterfield Mall Set for Oct. 15 Demolition
The countdown begins: the Chesterfield Mall is set to be demolished on October 15th, making way for a sprawling $2 billion development by the Staenberg Group. The mixed-use project, spanning over 100 acres, will include office buildings, luxury condos, apartments, retail, restaurants, and a hotel. Demolition is expected to take about a year, with the entire development potentially taking up to a decade to complete.
A demolition date of Oct. 15 has been set for Chesterfield Mall. The only structures that will remain will be Dillard’s as a retail store and Macy's, which will be repurposed.

🍗 Chesterfield Chick-fil-A Closed for Revamp
Chesterfield's Chick-fil-A is temporarily closed for a four-month renovation aimed at improving drive-thru efficiency and customer experience. The upgrades will extend the second drive-thru lane, relocate the order point canopy, and optimize parking spaces. With a cross-parking agreement with neighboring Amini's, the restaurant will have a total of 63 parking spots post-renovation.

Green Pines Park got more than it bargained for during yesterday’s downpour. The beloved community space is now closed as crews assess and repair rain-related damage. While the closure's duration remains uncertain, city officials promise to keep residents informed.
