🏃‍♀️ Eureka Runner Heads to Boston Marathon

After five years of trying, Eureka's Cassandra Siegfried-Willard has earned a spot in the Boston Marathon this April. The 38-year-old will run to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, needing to raise $10,000 for cancer research. This challenging race will be her fifth of the six major world marathons, bringing her closer to completing her global running goal.

🐺 MDC Warns of Increased Coyote Activity

The Missouri Department of Conservation has issued an important seasonal alert. Breeding season is peaking for coyotes across St. Louis County. Residents should be cautious as these animals are opportunistic feeders that consume everything from small mammals to fruits and vegetables.

🐟 Fox 2 Releases 2025 Fish Fry Map

Fox 2 has posted their 2025 fish fry map to help residents locate meals for Lent. The map includes several West County parishes such as St. Joseph in Manchester, Sacred Heart in Valley Park, and Incarnate Word in Chesterfield.

🦋 Spring Hours Begin at Butterfly House

The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House has updated its visiting hours for the season. The Chesterfield attraction is now open through August, Tuesday through Sunday, 9am to 4pm daily.

💼 Schnucks Program Supports Local Business Owners

Schnucks is now accepting applications for the second round of its Springboard business accelerator program. Local businesses selected will have a chance at business development classes, networking opportunities, $5,000 in funding, and potential shelf space in Schnucks stores in 2026.

🏡 Home & Garden Expo Coming End of This Month

The West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce is organizing their annual Home & Garden Expo this month. Scheduled for March 29th at Greensfelder Recreation Complex in Manchester, the event will run from 9am to 2pm. Visitors can explore various home improvement and landscaping vendors.

Creve Coeur

☕ March Coffee With Mayor Canceled

Coffee with the Mayor in Creve Coeur won't happen this Thursday. Mayor Robert Hoffman will resume the monthly meetings next month on Thursday, April 3rd, at 7:30am at the Creve Coeur Government Center.

🏆 Last Call for Creve Coeur Biz Awards

The deadline is approaching for Creve Coeur's annual Business Awards. The city is looking for nominations of local businesses that have made sustainability a core part of their operations. Submissions are due by this Friday, March 7th, and winners will be recognized at the upcoming Creve Coeur-Olivette Chamber of Commerce Luncheon this spring.

Manchester

🌱 Manchester (Re)Launches Bag Recycling Drive

Manchester's plastic bag recycling challenge has returned for its third year. The city is working to collect 1,000 pounds of plastic bag and film waste by January 2026. If successful, Manchester will receive a new park bench made from recycled materials. Residents can drop off their plastic bags at City Hall, Justice Center, or the Parks Building.

Wildwood

🏙️ Wildwood Master Plan Update Underway

Wildwood has begun the required update to its Master Plan with a team of 23 volunteers from across all city wards and local businesses. The planning group is now collecting resident feedback through a short survey that takes just 3-4 minutes to complete. Your responses will help guide Wildwood's development and community priorities for the next ten years.

🚫 Wildwood Parks App Discontinued

The Parks and Recreation App for Wildwood is no longer functioning. City officials disabled the application on February 27th after discovering its developer had discontinued support, creating potential security risks. Residents who have downloaded the app should remove it from their devices until the City secures a new service provider.
