🌒 It's Eclipse Day! Partial Eclipse Visible in Our Area

Today's the day! The long-awaited solar eclipse is finally here. While our area won't be in the path of totality, you can still witness a breathtaking partial eclipse, with the moon covering a significant portion of the sun. Don't miss this rare event, as the next total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States won't occur until August 23, 2044 – that's another 20 years away!

To make the most of this astronomical spectacle, check out the Missouri State Parks website here, where you'll find a table listing all state parks and the percentage of sun obscuration visible and exact times for the eclipse's start, peak, and end. Alternatively, for a more personalized experience, use NASA's eclipse tool here to get targeted information based on your precise location.

The Town & Country Planning & Zoning Commission discussed the proposal on March 20, with concerns raised about traffic, rental properties, density, and greenspace. The topic will be revisited at the next P&Z meeting on April 17. Read more here.
