Rockwood Celebrates Excellence with Annual ROSE Awards

Yesterday was a special day in Rockwood! The ROSE Selection Committee handed out this year's ROSE awards to 15 outstanding members across the school district. These awards celebrate those who show exceptional character, leadership, and dedication. Out of 220 nominations, these 15 were chosen for going above and beyond. They were greeted with balloons and roses, and they'll be celebrated at a dinner on May 5. Want to know who they are? Check the list of recipients here!

St. Louis County Library Launches Hotspot Lending Program

The St. Louis County Library has launched a new program that enables residents to book mobile hotspots for up to 21 days. This service is open to all adult cardholders in good standing and aims to provide reliable internet access for various needs, including work, travel, or online interviews. FOX 2 Captures Heartwarming Surprise: Principal's Navy Daughter Comes Home

On Wednesday FOX 2 showcased a touching moment at Parkway North High School where Principal David Jones was stunned by the unexpected visit from his daughter, Navy Petty Officer Alycia Pouch. The surprise, arranged with the Parkway School District, brought joy and tears to all involved. Alycia, who has been serving overseas, made the special trip to reconnect with her family. St. Louis County Library Opens Applications for Teen Summer Internship Program

Starting today, St. Louis County Library is inviting teens aged 16-18 from to apply for the Sidney Johnson Summer Internship. This paid, 10-week program, running from June 3 to August 9, 2024, offers a unique glimpse behind the scenes of library operations, with interns working 16 hours per week at an hourly wage of $13.50. Participants will gain comprehensive insights into library work, aligning their interests and skills with their experiences. Click here to learn more.

Personal Property Tax Declarations Due

Don’t forget today is the final day to file your personal property tax declaration with the county assessor’s office to avoid receiving a second notice. This year, the assessor’s office is offering an online option to file your declaration, so no worries if you forgot to mail your declaration at this point. Calling all 5k Runners

Both Chesterfield and Manchester are hosting 5k runs in the month of March:

  • Chesterfield’s Shamrock 5k/10k and Leprechaun Fun Run is scheduled for March 16 at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex. The 5k and 10k races are slated to start at 8:30am with the fun run to follow at 10am. For more information or to sign up, visit the event page here.
