📚 Back-to-School Bargains: No Sales Tax This Weekend!
Missouri's annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday begins today and runs through Sunday. State and local sales taxes are waived all weekend on various school-related items, such as clothing priced at $100 or less per item, school supplies up to $50 per purchase, computer software up to $350, and personal computers and peripherals up to $1,500.

🦟 West Nile Virus Strikes St. Louis County
This week the St. Louis County Department of Public Health announced the county's first human case of West Nile virus in 2024. The patient, a 65-year-old man, tested positive in July. Health officials recommend using insect repellent, wearing light-colored clothes, and eliminating standing water to reduce exposure risk.
🌃 Overnight I-44 Closures Aug 4-5
MoDOT has scheduled overnight lane closures on I-44 between Williams Road and Route 141 for this coming Sunday and Monday (August 4-5). Crews will be performing geological work for possible future projects, leading to the shutdown of two right lanes in both directions during the overnight hours.
