🌡️ St. Louis Records Late First Freeze

The first freeze of the season arrived in St. Louis on Tuesday morning, with temperatures dropping to 29°F at Lambert Airport. This marks only the third time since 1900 that St. Louis has experienced such a late first freeze. Forecasts indicate temperatures will continue dropping, reaching the teens by this weekend.

🚨 County Updates E. Coli Investigation

St. Louis County Health Department has revealed new details about the recent E. coli outbreak, updating case numbers to 108 confirmed illnesses. At Monday's presentation, officials shared that out of 353 survey responses, 29 cases were confirmed through laboratory testing. The investigation continues to focus on lettuce served at four local events.

📚 Teen Book Festival Set for December 7

The St. Louis County Library is preparing for its third annual Teen Book Festival next month. Seventeen young adult authors will gather at the Clark Family Branch in Ladue on December 7 for a day of book talks and meet-and-greet sessions. The free event will run from 10am to 6pm and welcomes all readers.

🏛️ New County Police Station Opens in North County

St. Louis County Police celebrated the opening of their new north county precinct Tuesday morning. Located on Dunn Road near I-270, the Joann Liscombe Building honors an officer killed in the line of duty in 1991. The facility features secure parking, a helipad, and advanced technology to better serve the community.

Chesterfield City Council has approved two significant improvements to Central Park. Families can enjoy pizza while participating in activities including cookie decorating, holiday crafts, and letter writing to Santa.

🗑️ Turkey Day Shifts Trash Schedule

The city of Manchester put out a reminder for residents that Thursday and Friday trash routes will be serviced one day delayed due to Thanksgiving.

👮 Elementary Class Tours City Buildings

Manchester city officials recently welcomed Pierremont Elementary students to the Justice Center for a hands-on learning experience about local government. The students heard presentations from the mayor and police chief, explored police vehicles up close, and learned about the Municipal Court system. Plus, each student received a goodie bag at the end of the tour.
